There is no passion…there is solely obsession.

There is no knowledge. There is solely conviction.

There is no purpose. There is solely will.

There is nothing… Only me.

From the Book of Sith: Secrets from the Dark Side by Daniel Wallace

I have a feeling that when I put this thesis the remnants of reason. The sheer dominance of the world is tempting when I look at the sea of foolishness that overflows around me. I’m referring to world news, social media, or reality shows in which celebrities express their opinions about inner mental balance, or whether to make yourself avocado toast or a green smoothie for breakfast. A sea of fake news floods us regularly from all sides. The heroes have become limited in their thinking. I feel that ordinary people no longer bother them, as long as the public sees them lifting an overjoyed baby or patting some grandmother on the shoulder (great shot on Instagram right after they retouched that wrinkle above their eyebrows).

Introduce a little anarchy. Upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos. I’m an agent of chaos.

The Joker

The politics itself wears me out I feel like I’m watching a show where instead of debate and concrete facts I hear who stole less who stole more, who is dumb, and who is dumber. Anyway, I am weak in politics and my P. only nods when I express my opinion and calmly explains to me the value of money and its impact on global market fluctuations.

Nonetheless, to the point. Despite everything, I imagine that the best way to make a living was by villains with an overactive imagination, unlimited budget, and unimaginable power. Such a Darth Vader with mighty power who goes over to the dark side. It is the very essence of determination. Although Damien from Omen, one say, has more ambition, a sweet kid, the anticipated, high-ranking Antichrist is capable of anything, he already had a plan for life at such a young age. Or maybe Freddy Krueger, who reigned over the dream world, after all, sleep-deprived yourself you feel like killing everyone (figuratively, of course…). I have not forgotten about You-Know-Who, either. Endowed with unimaginable power and intelligence, he divided his soul securing himself from the consequences of his plan to rule people without imagination. Such a life insurance policy with benefits only. Thanos also recognized that there are these average people without imagination half too many, so he made room for half the lucky ones with just the snap of his fingers. Ultron came to similar conclusions, having deduced that it made no sense to rule over humans and decided to get rid of most of them since as an artificial intelligence he saw no point in any domination over a self-destructive civilization. I also wouldn’t want to leave out Doctor Evil, who inspires great sympathy in me with his Mini-Me clone. With aspirations to be a dictator, he has completed six years of study at the Medical Academy of Evil.

“I believe that if one man were to live out his life fully and completely, were to give form to every feeling. expression to every thought, reality to every dream–I believe that the world would gain such a fresh impulse of joy that we would forget all the maladies of mediaevalism, and return to the Hellenic ideal– to something finer, richer than the Hellenic ideal, it may be. But the bravest man amongst us is afraid of himself.”

Lord Henry Wotton from The picture of Dorian Gray

Let’s look at it from the other perspective. These were characters with remarkable charisma and an idea for life fully convinced of the validity of their intentions. They overcame obstacles fiercely. Always with a plan that was well thought out, they did not rely on luck and, despite complications, were not afraid to take measures. They did not sob into their pillows and did not lose faith in their capabilities. They acted methodically and did not compromise on their goal. It is worth mentioning here the amount of work (deadly serious…) they put into their project. They used their irresistible charm and infected others with their perseverance (a little manipulation doesn’t hurt anyone, right?). I know, I know. Bringing fear and the threat of death is not advisable or moral, and pursuing corpses to the goal is quite drastic (well, a little more than drastic…). However, I feel that we often give up. We waste our potential by fearing failure. We abandon our desires for a dull and safe life, only to be disappointed in the end. After all, life is so damn short. Time runs and we put everything off being afraid even to try.

“The scariest villains are the ones who have nothing to lose”

Gillian Flynn, Gone Girl

It sounds bizarre, but I believe that villains can inspire us. If we were more determined and put in more effort, our dreams would no longer be unreachable. They would be within grasp.

What do you think? Do I have a hint of a point?
